Soli Deo Gloria Institute for the Arts, Inc. was started by Dr. Patricia Backhaus, Valerie Floeter, Karen Mary Lippert, Richard Mannisto and Matthew Schlomer in 2002. Our mission is to use music concerts and performances to enrich the lives of people in our community; both performers and audience members.
The board has determined that this can be done in different ways. Currently, two active Waukesha, WI. bands are supported.
The Soli Deo Gloria Brass is a non audition instrumental group that will occasionally put on a summer or winter concert. Any skill level is acceptable. Three or four rehearsals are scheduled before each concert.
Sine Nomine Brass is a group of area brass musicians from multiple WELS churches that play for worship services or special occasions.
